I just learned here online that Elaine Stewart had passed away last June 27, 2011. This Hollywood star was always close to my Heart. When I was very tiny, my Mother left me in my Grandma's care while she enjoyed a day of shopping. When Mom returned, she handed me a book of paper dolls that she had purchased. They were of Elaine Stewart. My very first paper dolls. These dolls were to increase in number to many many stars and I would spend hours playing my imaginary games with them in my childhood. Such treasured memories. I had written to Miss Stewart a year before her death....telling her what a fond memory I have of her and those very special first paper dolls. She did not respond and I feared that she might be too elderly/frail/ill to answer. I hope she read my letter and understood how special she was to my youthful imagination and that I would always remember her in my Heart of Hearts. Rest in Peace, Miss Stewart.
